What is a founding broker spot?
It is a membership for the first group of brokers on VFR. Founding brokers list unlimited franchise resales at either tier at no cost through December 31, 2026, get their profile and inventory indexed early, and help shape the broker tools before they are finalized.
Why does it cost nothing?
Strong franchise resale inventory is what makes VFR useful to buyers and sellers. Brokers supply most of that inventory, so founding broker membership, Basic listings, and Featured listings all cost nothing through December 31, 2026. VFR earns revenue from owner-listed sellers, franchisor programs, and advertising instead.
What happens after December 31, 2026?
Broker pricing may be introduced in 2027. If it is, founding brokers will hear about it well in advance and will not be charged for anything without agreeing to it first. There is no contract and no obligation either way — you can remove your listings at any time.
How many franchise resales can I list?
There is no cap. Founding brokers can post unlimited active listings at either tier. Listings must be genuine existing-franchise resale opportunities and are reviewed before publication.
What is the difference between a Basic and a Featured listing?
A Featured listing carries up to 5 photos plus a video, receives priority placement in search results, and displays with an enhanced card treatment and a larger image. Basic listings include 1 photo and standard placement. Both cost nothing for founding brokers through December 31, 2026, so you can publish everything as Featured if you prefer.
What does listing review involve, and how long does it take?
We confirm the listing is a currently available resale of an operating franchise business before it publishes. It is a short check, not an audit of your financials or a valuation opinion. Keeping stale and misrepresented listings off the site is what keeps buyer trust high, and that is what makes the inquiries worth your time.
Who owns the buyer or seller lead?
The inquiry routes to you as the broker attached to the listing or profile. VFR does not require a co-broke, commission split, success fee, or referral fee.
What qualifies as a franchise resale?
An existing operating business being transferred under an established franchise brand. New-unit franchise sales, business opportunities, and non-franchise businesses are not broker resale listings on VFR.
Can I claim a spot if I cover multiple states or work nationally?
Yes. Your profile can show the markets you serve, and your individual listings are associated with the relevant brand and location pages.
