Always Best Care Franchise Model Overview

Always Best Care Senior Services franchises provide non-medical in-home personal care to seniors, with two add-ons: senior living placement referrals and, with a separate state license, skilled in-home nursing. The business runs from a small leased office in an Assigned Area; most of the modest investment is working capital, insurance and licensing, with skilled nursing adding a further licensing budget. The franchisee must keep at least two full-time staff, the owner or a trained Manager plus one, focused on marketing to referral sources and on recruiting and scheduling caregivers. Royalty is 6 percent of gross sales with a minimum that steps up each year, and the ad fund is 2 percent. Some markets are supported by an Area Representative. Item 20 counts Assigned Areas; the system is entirely franchised and growing by 16 to 26 areas a year, and Item 19 reports systemwide and per-franchisee gross sales. A buyer of an existing business pays for its own initial supply.

Comfortable with caregiver recruiting, scheduling and turnover in a payroll-heavy business
Relationship seller who will call on hospitals, discharge planners and senior communities
Low-six-figure capital with reserves for payroll ahead of client billing
Interested in adding licensed skilled nursing for a larger, more regulated operation
