Bio-One Franchise Model Overview

Bio-One franchises clean and decontaminate residential and commercial properties after traumatic events: crime and death scenes, unattended deaths, hoarding situations, bio-medical waste and sharps, plus general disinfection. The work is regulated and emotionally demanding, and owners and managers must complete the franchisor's OSHA training. This is a light-investment, low-overhead model: there is no storefront, and most of the money goes to the franchise fee, a required equipment and supplies package bought through the franchisor, a work vehicle and three months of working capital. Revenue depends on relationships with police, coroners, funeral homes, property managers and insurers, supported by an affiliated call center, and the local advertising requirement is substantial. The franchisor is part of a Princeton Equity Group platform alongside Five Star Bath Solutions and 1-800-Packouts. A trained owner or designated manager must run day-to-day operations. The system peaked at 152 outlets in 2024 and slipped to 147 in 2025, with three now company-owned.

Ideal owner profile

Owner-operator or trained manager comfortable on traumatic, regulated biohazard job sites
Relationship builder who can earn referrals from first responders, coroners and property managers
Able to respond around the clock and manage small field crews with compassion
Sub-$250K capital with room for a meaningful monthly local advertising commitment
Buyers of an existing unit must replace any missing pieces of the required equipment package
