Poolwerx Franchise Model Overview
Poolwerx franchisees provide residential pool cleaning, maintenance, equipment installation and remodel services plus retail pool chemicals and supplies in a protected territory of roughly 6,500 residential pools. The model starts as a mobile business, one white wrapped van or truck with the owner or a trained manager on the route, and must add a leased retail location within 36 months of signing, so a mature unit is a storefront with water testing, inventory and several service vehicles. The all-in investment for both phases is low-to-mid six figures, with the mobile phase alone around six figures. Ongoing fees stack up: 7 percent royalty, 3 percent brand fund, a 2 percent technology fee and a local marketing minimum. The brand is Australian in origin, now owned by Norwest Venture Partners, and its U.S. base has grown from about 60 to 107 territories in three years, all franchised. Owners, equity holders and spouses sign personal guarantees.
