Weed Man Franchise Model Overview

Weed Man franchisees provide lawn care, fertilization, weed eradication, mosquito control and perimeter pest control to homeowners and businesses inside an assigned territory, using only products and equipment the franchisor approves. The U.S. franchisor is a master licensee of the Canadian parent, which has run the system since the 1970s. The entry investment is well under six figures: a modest franchise fee, training, a small equipment package, a leased spray truck and working capital, with the office and warehouse usually a 1,350 to 1,500 square foot leased industrial space. Royalty is 7 percent of net sales with an annual minimum per territory, plus a small advertising contribution the franchisor currently matches. Owner participation is recommended but not required; an approved, trained manager must run the business full time and be on site whenever the office is open. Item 20 counts franchise agreements, not locations; the system had 153 physical locations at the end of 2025.

Ideal owner profile

Comfortable with door-to-door and telemarketing sales to build a recurring residential customer base
Able to hire, train and route seasonal spray technicians and manage a small truck fleet
Sub-$150K capital with cash reserves for the off-season
Multi-territory operators can add Unit Territories at a fixed fee each
